Past 3 Weeks
Well, our past 3 weeks have been challenging. Logan has been battling his asthma and fever over the last 3 weeks. We have been to the doctor 2 times (but talked to them many more times) and made a visit to the ER. He has been battling the "rhinovirus" they think with a horrible asthma flare up. Logan has been on steroids and his breathing treatment with little improvement within this time. Every 3-6 hours we are having to administer a breathing treatment daily (for 3 weeks now). One day he could barely make it to 2 1/2 hours before needing another treatment. After many phone calls and doctors telling me "keep doing what you are doing," I am fed up. On Friday I talked with his asthma doctor a decision was made. The next step to help Logan out will be for us to see a Pulmonologist in a few weeks. At this point his asthma is not under control so we need to see this lung specialist. Hopefully this doctor will be able to give us some answers and steps to take in order to help Logan feel better. The poor kid is so use to being sick that all of this is not phasing him. He goes on with his day and takes his treatments like a trooper. Tony & I are hopeful that this is the best step to take.
